2. Handling of purchases via the app stores
Paid functions (e.g. "Pro") are acquired exclusively as an in-app purchase via the respective app store (Apple App Store, Google Play Store). The purchase, payment, and refund process is handled by the respective store operator, who is your contracting party for the purchase in this respect. Purchase, withdrawal, and refund therefore take place exclusively via the respective store; its terms and procedures apply.
3. Right of withdrawal for digital content
Consumers are generally entitled to a fourteen-day right of withdrawal for paid digital content and services (Section 312g of the German Civil Code, BGB). The period begins upon conclusion of the contract.
Exercise: As purchase and processing take place via the app stores and the respective store is your contracting party in this respect, you assert the withdrawal or a refund via the respective store:
- Apple App Store: via "Report a Problem" / your Apple account settings.
- Google Play Store: via your order history / Google Play support.
4. Premature expiry of the right of withdrawal
Whether and when the right of withdrawal expires prematurely, for example because performance begins with your express consent before the end of the withdrawal period, is governed by the purchase process and the terms of the respective app store. No separate request is made within the App.
5. Cancellation of subscriptions
Manage and cancel ongoing subscriptions via your account with the respective app store:
- Apple: Settings → [Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
- Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; fees already paid for the current period are not refunded on a pro-rata basis unless the store operator or the Terms of Service (Sections 13.3 and 14.8) provide otherwise.
6. Free use: withdrawal and termination
As a consumer, you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal for the free usage contract, starting with the conclusion of the contract, i.e. with your first confirmation of the Terms of Service. You can declare the withdrawal informally by email to [email protected] or by letter to the address in Section 1. The full instructions on withdrawal and the model withdrawal form can be found in Sections 7.4 and 7.5 of the Terms of Service.
Independently of this, you can end the free use at any time by deleting your account in the App or uninstalling it. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy; certain records (e.g. of consents given) may be retained for a limited period.
